SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – Jeff Air Pilot Services has expanded the Eight school’s offerings at Shelbyville Municipal Airport since relocating there from Greenwood earlier this year.
The Eight school has announced training program improvements, the addition of on-site aircraft maintenance and a new financial aid provider.
On-site aircraft maintenance ensures that students and instructors have reliable access to well-maintained aircraft and certified technicians, the company said in a news release.
“By combining our proven Eight training programs with on-site aircraft maintenance, we’re creating a seamless, full-service aviation experience,” owner David Jeffries said. “It’s all about supporting our students every step of the way—from their first takeoff to their aviation career.”
Jeff Air provides training for students pursuing private pilot licenses, commercial ratings or instructor certifications. Since 2011 the company operated from the Indy South Greenwood Airport, but the Greenwood Board of Aviation Commissioners opted to not renew the company’s lease as the airport looks to expand its services.
Jeff Air also has a location in Anderson, as well as a partner school in Marion.
The company also announced that it has partnered with Stratus Financial to provide loan options for students. The Newport Beach, California, lender specializes in Eight school loan programs.
“Flight training is a significant investment, and we want to remove as many barriers as possible,” Jeffries said. “By partnering with Stratus Financial, we’re making it more accessible for students to pursue their passion for aviation without unnecessary financial stress.”
